sabino and tobiano!
Starbuck is blessed
with a gentle nature and is sound in every way.
Starbuck directly descents from two welsh lines, which gives him incredible,
free and extended action. Starbuck truly showed the Australian public what a
little man can do, while winning his 2005 State Champion Liberty title.
Starbuck, did a full diagonal in a suspended, extended trot, tail flagging,
and floating, to the cheer and awes of the crowd. I have been asked many
times since when he will be coming back to do it all again.
A true adaptable athlete, capable of clearing 39", taking kids for pony
rides, taking everyone for a joy ride in the sulky, competing and winning in lungeline, trail, colour
and jumping classes, can you ask for any more?
Producing true HORSE type foals, with
excellent length of rein, movement, shoulders, legs and COLOUR
Starbuck has had many show wins
and titles ,
NATIONAL AND STATE TOP FIVE'S....
including....
SUPREME MINIATURE AT DUBBO SHOW
UNANIMOUS CHAMPION SECTION B STALLION AT GRAFTON MHAA SHOW
MHAA STATE CHAMPION MALE TROT 2006
RESERVE CHAMPION JUMPING SECTION B HORSE AT GRAFTON
RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION SMALL HORSE
SIX BAR 2004
STATE CHAMPION SMALL HORSE LIBERTY 2005
Starbuck has achieved many top
five's at a State and National level. A horse, who is flexible enough to
halter, jump, trail, and perform liberty is a very rare commodity.
A horse
who can successfully compete in six bar, with the essence on timing and
rhythm, hunter, for style and grace, showjumping, with varying heights of
jumps and jump types and finally fault and out with height as the main
concern, is a true gem.
Starbuck has been retired from
showing, since a showring accident while competing for his fault and out
national title. During a jump off for reserve starbuck landed slightly
wrong, and managed to put his hip out. Since this time, he has been unable
to compete at a top level, his hip still tends to pop back out. For a
horse whose heart lies on the other side of a jump, showing him
without his treat is torture.

From high jumping, to hunter.
