Sam is a very well known son of the popular Harris Polka Dot. This double bred appaloosa stallion has excelled as a show horse and now continues to exceed as a breeding stallion. Sam achieved phenomenal success in the showring- Twice sashed Top 5 at the Nationals (in classes of 30 entries ) Winner at the Brisbane Royal, Supreme at the 2000 QLD State Championships (over 150 other horses) and multiple Supremes at other agricultural shows in QLD & NSW.

His foals are EXCEPTIONAL and keep on winning he has been represented at the Nationals most years. Sam Also produces 100% colour. Sam is an exciting addition to my breeding program. Who brings, refinement, extensive movement, high tailset and athletic ability.

Sam is like a good wine he just gets better with age .

The story of SAM

When I was just starting off in the miniature world I went along to an MHAA Nationals the last year it was held in Dubbo. While I was there I saw the loveliest tiny brown colt being held outside the ring, I approached the handler and started to ask about the  little colt, who she promptly handed over to me to hold. When she mentioned her daughter owned Firefox ranch, I went gar gar, I had seen a sensational brown appaloosa colt advertised in horse deals called  FIREFOX SHAMAN TALISMAN, I asked about him and she pointed him out for me in the ring where he was competing, I loved him at first site, he had had a HUGE colour change going to a full varnish but was still the stunning horse I remembered. I happened to be holding his full brother the little brown colt who was for sale, hmmmmm what I would give to own that little brown colt....... but low and behold my budget was small. SO I had to give him a miss I took a business card and drooled as I walked away from that stunning 3 yo stallion and colt.

YEARS LATER........

I heard a roumer that firefox ranch was reducing it's herd size, I decided to enquire hoping that maybe just maybe I could buy a talisman son...... the only son for sale had been sold just a day before I enquired I couldn't believe my bad luck! Then Tania happened to mention my IDOL was for sale but no way did I think I could afford a stallion of such caliber.......  Thanks To Firefox ranch they made my dream possible! I paid my dream stallion off and HERE HE IS! To make matters even more coincidental, tania's mother remembered talking to me at that national's so long ago... and was happy he was going to someone who had drooled over him!
